Lunch Menus

We’re excited to announce a change in our lunch provider to Nourish! This new partnership marks a fantastic step forward in providing our pupils with delicious, nutritious meals that they will genuinely enjoy. Nourish are passionate about delivering food that not only meets nutritional standards but also excites the taste buds of our children.

One of the key focuses of Nourish is on fresh food and innovative ideas. They understand that children are more likely to enjoy their meals if they are made from high-quality ingredients and presented in an appealing manner. With carefully crafted menus that are both informative and attractive, Nourish ensures that our pupils can look forward to mealtime. The menus will be nutritionally analysed and updated twice a year, ensuring that we stay on top of current dietary guidelines and trends.

A particularly exciting aspect of this new partnership is Nourish’s commitment to involving pupils in the menu creation process. They will be working closely with our schools and holding tasting sessions where the children can sample a variety of dishes. This will give them a chance to provide feedback, ensuring their voices are heard. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to express their preferences and make suggestions about what they would like to see more of in their school lunches.

Moreover, Nourish understands the importance of collaboration. They will be actively engaging with our school councils, attending meetings and really taking on board the children’s comments and requests. This collaborative approach not only fosters a sense of community but also empowers our pupils to play a role in what they eat, cultivating healthier eating habits in the long run.

As we transition to this new lunch provider, we would like to remind parents and carers that all meals will need to be booked on Arbor, just as they have done previously. The exciting news is that there will be more options available, allowing for greater variety and choice for the children during their lunchtime.

Rest assured, all children will continue to eat together in the dining hall, regardless of whether they have a school lunch or a packed lunch from home. We believe that this shared mealtime experience is invaluable for fostering friendships and community spirit among our pupils.

We can’t wait for our students to start enjoying the fantastic offerings from Nourish. Here’s to fresh food, fresh ideas, and happy, healthy lunchtime experiences!

Children may prefer to bring a packed lunch; these are eaten in the dining hall. Sweets, canned or fizzy drinks and glass containers are not permitted. The school has no facilities to refrigerate or heat packed lunches and in warmer weather, parents are urged to use cooling packs in lunch boxes. We are a nut-free school.

Pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable each day as part of the Government’s programme for healthy living. Pupils in Years 3 to 6 may bring in a healthy snack but no sweets and crisps. The school has a number of indoor and outdoor water fountains, and pupils are free to bring in bottled water which should be named.

If your child has any special dietary requirements, please can you inform us as soon as possible.
